In the future, all applications are likely to run on mobile devices, whether they are mobile phones tablet computers, or even smart watches. We're just starting to explore the possibilities, and the possibilities are constantly expanding. The next big thing is in the works: El Tiempo, a mobile application framework for Android, Java, and IOS. One of the most interesting aspects of El Tiempo is that it comes with a free application distribution program (DAP).
While you may not have heard of the DAP, let me explain what it is. Each year, Apple releases a big update to its operating system. This means that it will likely be running on many more devices over the coming years. Each time Apple releases a new version of OS X, it replaces many parts of the software with new technology. The new technology is then released under a different trademark name, so many companies have trouble legally releasing software that functions as it was originally intended. In order to remedy this situation, a group of developers has created a service called the Distribute Software program, which allows them to distribute various software products on an open market for a nominal fee.
Currently, the El Tiempo team is hard at work creating the next release of El Tiempo, which will run on both Android and Java platforms. The application will be able to integrate with existing Android apps, and integrate with existing iOS apps. We expect that once El Tiempo for Android and El Tiempo for iPhone is released, there will be more companies developing their own versions of DAPs in order to launch their own mobile apps. As this technology becomes more commonplace, many businesses will find themselves prepared to make use of it to create effective, user-friendly software solutions.
